AP Lit students took group photos the day after the AP Lit exam to show how they felt after completing the test. Their photos captured relief and pride after a year of hard work.
Wildcat Spring Football Practice will take place from May 26 to 29 from 15:00 to 17:00 on the MHS football field. Practices are open to rising 9th to 12th graders, current 8th to 11th graders, and are for both returning and new players interested in the Naples Wildcat football program.
Seventh-grade science students recently completed a hands-on Light Maze Museum project as part of their study of light and electromagnetic radiation. Using the Savvas Quest activity as a foundation, students designed model museum security systems that applied reflection, refraction, and transmission to protect valuable artifacts.
Naples spring sports had a strong weekend with boys soccer defeating Marymount 4 to 1 and girls soccer earning a 7 to 0 win. Softball swept Sigonella at home, track and field added several strong finishes, and baseball results were not reported.
Naples MHS has shared SAT and ACT testing dates for the 2026 to 2027 school year. Students and families should review the test dates, registration deadlines, and test center codes as they plan ahead.

Students in the high school AVID class read to elementary students to practice public speaking skills and provide community service. Their message was simple: reading is FUNdamental.
This week, NMHS welcomed a group of Italian middle school students for a cultural exchange sponsored by the American peers who visited their school last month. Students reconnected with friends, practiced their target language, shared lessons and classrooms, and enjoyed lunch, games, and social time together.
With the yearbook finished, the yearbook staff is keeping school spirit alive by creating inspirational signs to support AP students as they head into exam season. The finished display will be shared in the hallway soon.
Naples spring sports continued with boys and girls soccer earning home wins over Sigonella. Baseball and softball competed on the road at Sigonella, while track and field posted several strong individual and relay finishes at Aviano.
Last week, students from Ms. Pennasilico and Ms. Esposti’s Italian classes spent the day in the Vomero district of Naples, visiting the Certosa di San Martino and Castel Sant’Elmo. Students also explored local stores and a neighborhood market, practicing Italian while engaging with local culture.
On Wednesday, April 22, NMHS NJROTC cadets hosted Area One Manager Mr. Greg Washington for their Annual Military Inspection. Cadets received high praise for professionalism and hard work, and thanked the parents and teachers who attended in support.
Students from Ms. Pennasilico and Ms. Esposti’s Italian classes took part in a cultural exchange in downtown Naples by visiting a local high school, joining labs and activities, and exploring the city with their Italian peers. The exchange will continue when students from the partner school visit our campus to tour classrooms and attend the pep rally.

Yesterday, cadets from the NMHS NJROTC program conducted a Sailor of the Year selection board for the 2026 NAVEUR Sailor of the Year candidates. Cadets served as board members and asked professional questions about military knowledge, leadership experiences, educational goals, and life in the United States Navy.

Eighth-grade AVID students practiced leadership and organization during the March AVID Huddle by planning and running an outdoor capture-the-flag tournament with prizes for the winning team. The event emphasized teamwork, laughter, and community building.
