Our educators engaged in a powerful learning session focused on increasing student engagement and deepening rigorous learning experiences. Through AVID’s evidence-based strategies, teachers explored Philosophical Chairs, a collaborative discourse technique that encourages student-led discussions and critical thinking. By intentionally integrating academic language, discourse, and inquiry, our educators are working to create student-centered classrooms that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all learners!
