The Little Mermaid: A Dazzling Success!

This year’s school musical, The Little Mermaid, was a dazzling success, captivating two sold-out audiences on February 27 and 28. A standout feature of the production was the collaboration between our talented students and a professional orchestra, featuring musicians from the U.S. Navy Band, along with several local national artists. Their live music brought an added depth to the show, creating a truly magical atmosphere for everyone in attendance.
The production was a remarkable achievement for our students, with over 50 involved in every aspect of the show. Three senior actors—Emma Fischer, Ayenna Ronquillo, and Isabella Corser—delivered memorable performances, with Emma portraying the villainous Ursula and Ayenna and Isabella taking on the roles of the mersisters Atina and Aquata, respectively. Behind the scenes, juniors Ella "Mars" Henson and Sam Reiss played key roles as stage manager and sound designer, while sophomore Mikayla Smith worked her magic as the lighting designer. Freshman Mia Randazzo also made a significant impact by designing the choreography for the show. The production was entirely student-driven, with students designing everything from costumes to sets, while a dedicated parent team helped with makeup, hair, and prop construction. The result was a performance that truly showcased the creativity and hard work of our entire school community.
