This Week in Wildcat Nation...

In this week's Wildcat News, AP Exams start next week, Student Council is hosting a Spring Spirit Week next week, and our HS AVID students partner with the elementary school. #WildcatNation

Students, your Naples MHS Student Council is hosting a Spirit Week next week to celebrate our spring season, recent Wildcat achievements, and the final push as we close out this school year. Next week also starts AP Exams. Be sure to bring your device fully charged, get a good night's sleep and a good breakfast the day of your exam, and follow the key directions and reminders teachers have shared. More information on our Spirit Week and AP schedule/reminders can be found in our articles below. Finally, parents, please do not forget our important re-registration and transportation reminders for SY 26-27 (see below).

Re-Registration and Transporations Reminders (SY 26/27) 

Re-registration for SY 26/27 is now open, and all parents and sponsors must log in to Aspen/DSIS to indicate whether your student is returning to Naples MHS. For questions, please contact Michela.Pellecchia.LN@dodea.edu. Parents, please also note that all students (new and returning) must register to be assigned to a bus stop. DoWEA School Dress Code

Students MUST wear:

  • Tops with sleeves (sleeveless tops/dresses are permitted for school sponsored formal events such as prom)
  • Solid clothing (not transparent or translucent) that fully covers the top and bottom from armpit to mid-thigh
  • Shoes (shoes must be safe for the school environment)
    • Bedroom slippers shall not be worn, except for school activities approved by the principal
    • Open toe shoes with a strap across the heel are allowed

Students CANNOT wear clothing with:

  • Language or images promoting violence
  • Language or images that depict, promote, or advocate the illegal use or sale of drugs, alcohol or tobacco products; violent conduct; curse words; pornography; that contain threats or expressions which are violent, discriminatory, lewd or obscene; or that advocate or promote any other illegal item or activity or the use of same
  • Derogatory speech and/or imagery that targets groups based on race/color, ethnicity/national origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or any other characteristic protected by law.
  • Headgear that obscures the face (except as a religious observance or health purpose); clothing items with hoods attached can be worn but must not cover the head

* Teachers/courses can require certain attire as part of the curriculum (for example: physical education, culinary) that may include specific dress

* DoWEA issued athletic uniforms and athletic practice attire outside of the DoWEA school dress code is permitted when worn by participants during athletic practices and sports events
