Wildcat News (SY 25-26)

The Naples Middle High Athletic Boosters will host a Spring Bazaar from February 20 to 22 in the school gym, featuring vendors from across Europe. Proceeds from the event help support Naples Wildcat athletes.

AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is looking for motivated current sixth through ninth grade students who want to build strong academic skills, stay organized, and prepare for college and careers in a collaborative, goal-driven community. Applications for next year’s AVID program will be available soon, and questions may be directed to Ms. Millwood for middle school AVID and to Dr. Johnson for high school AVID.

It was another full weekend for Naples athletics as boys and girls basketball played three games each at AOSR, both wrestling teams competed at sectionals, and the Naples Tigersharks earned a win over AOSR. Several athletes also qualified for Euros in wrestling.

Naples Wildcats recently attended Creative Connections, a six-day visual and performing arts symposium for talented high school students held January 25 to 30, 2026, in Hubingen, Germany. Students studied with DoDEA teachers and visiting specialists in areas including drama, music, dance, costuming, video production, and visual arts, culminating in an exhibition and an evening performance.

This week, we recognize National School Counseling Week 2026, which highlights the vital role school counselors play in supporting student success. We want to send a special shout-out to Ms. Bartley and Dr. Williams for all they do to support our Wildcats.

The yearbook staff is requesting photos from families traveling to the Olympics and reminding senior parents that the last day to purchase a senior recognition page is Thursday, February 12, 2026. The final day to purchase a yearbook is February 20, and books will not be available for purchase when they arrive in May.

The education students are learning about the multilingual learner program, the advanced academic program, and their services. This week, Dr Jordan, Mr Noonan, and Mr Macone shared their expertise as MLP and AAPS teachers.

Thank you to the staff, students, parents, and community members who donated to the January No Stuff Fundraiser. PTSA is excited to use these funds to support field trips, senior scholarships, Month of the Military Child, teacher appreciation, and more.

This week, NJROTC cadets spoke with a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets about college, life, and being part of the Corps. The conversation provided valuable information that will help them in the future.

This weekend, both wrestling teams are in Wiesbaden, Germany, for the DoDEA European Championship, while Wildcats basketball plays at home Friday night and Saturday morning, with cheer on the sidelines. Friday night is senior night, and the Naples Tigershark swim team is competing in the Southern Divisional Championship.

The Spring Bazaar is coming up, and we need our athletic community’s support to make it a success! The Athletic Booster Club is seeking volunteers to assist with event setup, operations, and cleanup.
