As part of the DoDEA School Health Services Program, vision and hearing screenings will be conducted for all seventh-grade students from 12 to 16 January 2026 and all tenth-grade students from 26 to 30 January 2026. Screenings are brief, non-invasive, and help identify students who may have difficulty seeing or hearing, so families can seek follow-up care if needed.

Naples Middle High School PTSA is raising funds through a January Coin Clash of the Classes fundraiser to support experiences outside the classroom, field trips, senior scholarships, and more. Families are also invited to save the date for the middle school dance on January 23, 2026, with more details and links available on the PTSA website.

As the 2026 yearbook nears completion, families are reminded that yearbooks must be purchased by February 23, 2026, and senior recognition ads by February 12, 2026. The yearbook staff is also requesting photos of holiday travels, holiday celebrations, and New Year's Eve festivities to help capture this season in the book.

The new year brought back the first action of 2026 as Wildcats basketball took on Sigonella and both wrestling teams competed at Vicenza. The boys' basketball team dropped two close games, the girls' basketball team earned two wins, and both the boys' and girls' wrestling teams finished first.

A school photo makeup day will be held during seminar for students who were absent on the original picture day in November. This is not a general retake day, and new photos will not appear in the yearbook but will be available for families who wish to purchase a packet.

Wildcats, The District Teacher of the Year nomination period is open NOW through February 6, 2026. This prestigious program recognizes teachers who make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, schools, and our community through their dedication, care, and impact.

Midshipman First Class Shine from the ROTC program at the Citadel spoke to NJROTC cadets about college ROTC and other educational opportunities.

Education students are learning about a variety of careers in education. Dr Lanquist recently visited the class to share her extensive experiences as an administrator, behavior specialist, and educational technologist.

The second annual DODEA Europe South Drill PT and Academic Championship is coming to Naples Middle High School on Saturday, 28 February 2026, from 0800 to 1600. All Naples NJROTC cadets will attend, and volunteers from across the base community are needed to help support the event.

Quarter Two was filled with learning leadership and school spirit at Naples Middle High School. From honor society inductions and cross-disciplinary projects to sports success, community events, and student leadership opportunities, Wildcats made the most of the weeks from November into the new year.

Cadets showed off their learning and creativity for Commander Sixth Fleet in the latest NJROTC STEM project. After studying amphibious operations and equipment, they built amphibious vehicles for a head-to-head competition judged by visiting leaders, and Cadet Christian P was named the winner.
