The new year brought back the first action of 2026 as Wildcats basketball faced Sigonella and both wrestling teams competed at Vicenza.
The boys' basketball team dropped two close contests, falling 46 to 54 on Friday and 53 to 59 on Saturday. The girls' basketball team turned in a strong performance against Sigonella, earning two victories: a 17-13 win in the first game and a 29-17 win in the second.
On the mats at Vicenza, the Wildcats wrestling team had an outstanding day, with both the boys and girls teams earning first-place finishes. Individual match results were not reported, but both squads represented Naples well.
