Stemposium Team Kicks Off World Saving Challenge

Our Stemposium team met their new teammates and were immediately challenged with building the highest tower using only straws and pipe cleaners. They then spent the day in their StEMinars, where they learned their specific engineering jobs as they relate to this year’s scenario. This year’s scenario to save the world involves identifying a deadly bacterium and figuring out how to sustain life in a bunker. In the evening, students were introduced to their engineering design challenge and given time to work with their teams to brainstorm ideas for saving the world.
