NMHS Student Council Elections for Next School Year
Applications due May 27 for students interested in serving in student government
Naples MHS Student Council elections for school year 2026 to 2027 are coming up. Students interested in being part of student government are encouraged to apply for one of the available officer positions.
Positions include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Public Relations Officer. Student Council officers help manage meetings, finances, school communication, and special events. The President helps facilitate weekly meetings and organize all school events, the Secretary maintains minutes and attendance records, and the Public Relations Officer creates posters, digital flyers, and social media posts for events.
To apply, students must submit an application and essay, provide two teacher recommendation emails, and complete an interview with the STUCO sponsor. Once approved, candidates will record a two minute campaign speech for the student body to watch. Candidates for President or Co President must have completed at least one year of prior STUCO service.
Applications are due May 27, and interviews or campaign videos are due May 28. Officers meet every Wednesday at lunch, and students should be aware that three unexcused absences may result in release from the position.
